Your job is simple. Allow yourself to notice how good things already are. If you desire a change focusing on what is already good rather than the change itself is the way to go.
This may be challenging at first. With a little practice you will find yourself allowing momentum in the direction you want. Not in the direction of what you do not want. You will notice it just kinda works better that way.
For example. Let’s say you want to lose ten or fifty pounds. Focusing on the weight, on being fat, on the fact that your clothes do not fit or how hard it is is not helpful. It keeps your focus on the problem. On the other hand focusing on feeling better, on how much more energy you notice yourself having, being excited to fit into those jeans again and how it is a little easier every day allows for an expansion towards your desire. This allowing approach naturally focuses on solutions and not problems while creating momentum in the direction you want to go.
This applies to everything. It is subtle, no doubt, but once you begin to allow you will also begin to notice the difference between being problem focused and solution focused. When you do thus life begins to get a whole lot easier and look a whole lot more joyful.
Focus on what is already good. That’s where the good stuff lives and thrives.
